Today KK and I built BacteriumDelirium.pbwiki.com. I was really worried about building the website because I am usually computer challenged. At first building the site in general was annoying. I kept deleting all the side bar links and also couldn't figure out how to make new pages from the sidebar. I soon came to realize that it was not such a hard task and I actually kind of knew what to do. I still have a lot to figure out and I know it will take time but I am looking forward to see how it all turns out.
The timeline was really stressing me out because I hate to plan things. When I plan out what I need to do I get super stressed out. KK and I talked on the phone about our project ideas and what order we need to do things. All I know is that we have a ton to do in about 14 days. It will be a blessing if KK and I actually pull off this project.
12/04
Today I went to net Trekker, Gale, Britannica, SIRS, and Proquest and searched general information on Streptomyces griseus. It was super annoying because many of the databases do not even have an article about my bacterium! I think I am going to need to use Google a lot to be able to get the proper amount of information! Uggg! Since my dad is a doctor I was able to find much information from him but I don’t know if I am allowed to use him as a source.
I did a lot of general research on my bacterium. I found out about the history of Streptomycin and nothing about Streptomyces griseus. The only thing that I found out about Streptomyces griseus was that it is in soil? I don’t know, but I am very stressed out about this project and I need to work on it a lot this weekend.

The third day making the website!! Today is normal. I did research on my assigned topic. I used all the databases and I looked at pictures of Streptomyces griseus on Google. I am happier with the project and I feel overall more confident. I now feel better about using the free web because of what Ms. Jansen taught today. I am comfortable with the tools needed to make the website!
KK has been helping me and I have been helping her. We are working very well together and getting lots of work done. I am very happy with our website so far and I just know that it will turn out awesome. The one thing I am worried about is getting all the information we need. I have found a lot of information on Streptomycin but not a lot at all on Streptomyces griseus.

Today we were allowed time in class to work on our website. We got a ton of work done and came up with some really great extra ideas for our website. KK and I were thinking that we could record my dad (he is a doctor) talking about our subject. We could then add pictures in and make a slideshow with a voice overview.
I am really glad to have KK as my partner because we work very well together and get a ton of work done. We both researched today on the free web and found much more information! KK is so helpful and I am so glad we have partners! I'm not so stressed out so I don’t have much to say. Till next time!

Friday! I woke up and nearly died!!! I did my homework for the weekend last night so during class I worked on my project!!!!!!!!! Everything is going good but this project is taking over my life! Every five seconds I’m like "I need to call Katherine about biology." It seems as if that’s all I can do! Oh well, at least everything is going smoothly so far!
I could not find any information about our bacteria’s reproduction. This is really annoying but I know I will eventually figure it out. Christmas is coming soon, so I’m using it as my motivation for working hard on this project! (Not that I wouldn't work hard on it anyway!)

Saturday! Weekends are the best! I didn't get much research done. Katherine and I talked on the phone about our project and all that still needed to be done. We have a ton of work we still need to do! I am still talking to my dad about recording his voice (for the video) I'm not sure he is really up for the challenge! Oh well! I don’t really have that much to say today so I guess I will stop righting now!

Today I did research on recent news of our bacterium. I did not find much information about it which I think it is because the viruses became immune to the antibiotic a long time ago. I will keep looking on the web but this project is not very practical. There is little to no information on the databases or the internet about the bacteria. Most information is about the antibiotic it created. I can’t find the way of reproduction, recent news, and many other things! I'm really mad right now!
After trying to find information for two hours I finally came up with something somewhat interesting. Oh well. I think I just need sleep right now. The weekends are not a good time for me to work. Maybe when next week comes it will bring good luck with it? Ha-ha that would be so nice!
12/10
Today I started to look over all my information and researched the topics that I had little to no information on. I was really sleepy from swimming and I also have it tomorrow morning so I need to get to bed and I had little time for homework. I still am worried because I feel further behind then I expected to be at this time in the project. School is so overwhelming! I mean morning practice for sports! Come on! Oh well! I need sleep!
Reproduction! I cannot find any information about REPRODUCTION! Goodness! Katherine and I work very well together and I think we will need to get together over the weekend to do more research together! I said together a lot in that sentence! WOW! I hate working on other material in class! I like doing the project inclass because KK is right there so I can ask her anything!

Today in class we were given time to work on our website. KK and I printed out website review sheets to fill out about our sources. I filled out a source review sheet about thelabrat.com and added more sources to our citation builder. We also set a date for when we should work on our project this weekend.
I am feeling more confident about this project and I really think KK and I can get it done (and looking pretty). I don’t think my dad is going to record his voice so Iwas thinking that I can ask him to write some facts on a sheet of paper and then I could record my voice. KK and I will talk about it tomorrow.
12/12
Today we were not given time in class to work on our website. I was given the task today to make the website beautiful! I also searched on youtube.com for videos. I found a few that we will show to KK tomorrow. My dad finally agreed to write information out about our bacteria.
KK and I can only meet on Sunday so I think (unfortunately) we will be getting most of our work done then. WE also need to make some games for the website and I need to figure out the color for my journal section because the background color won't change! Uggg so much work, yet so little time.
12/13
In class we worked on a lab. KK and I are feeling a tad more positive about the website, I think. Everything is going well and we have both been working very hard to get a great grade on this project. We still need some more information about our bacteria and we need to figure out how to make a program for our presentation. We will be working on our project all Sunday so I think we will in the end be ok.
My job for today was to edit citation builder but I think the library website was down! I couldn't connect to the page so I really don't know what happened to it. I looked for interesting things to put on our website and I have a few ideas but I'm not sure if they will work.
12/14
Crunch time! Ahhhhhhh this is totally my favorite part of projects, not even joking! Today after school I went out and bought a folder! I think I will decorate the folder in a Christmas theme! I totally am in love with Christmas. I really need to go on citation builder and see if the library web page is working.
KK and I are having fun coming up with sweet ideas for the website. I think we are both enjoying this project. At times it has made me insane, but looking back I have a totally different view. Well, the project is not finished yet and we have till Sunday at 5:00 Pm to turn it in.
12/15
Today I found awesome wrapping paper for our folder. I really love getting down to the wire on projects so tomorrow will be very fun! I edited the bibliography page tonight for the last time (I think). I also started to compile the information my dad gave me about our bacteria.
Tomorrow I am going over to casa Bonita (a.k.a KK's house) to finish up the project. We have a ton of work to do. We need to check spelling, compile information, and add extra activities. We also need to make all of our sheets that we have to hand in. I really have a feeling that the site will look awesome by the end of tomorrow! I can't wait!
12/16
The website is due today! Katherine could not come over till at least 12:00 so I am freaking out! I did my individual evaluation and now I have to wait for Katherine to come over. I also finished decorating our folder with Christmas decorations! I finished our source citations and looked up more pictures of our bacteria.
The project is finished! I am worried about tomorrow but for now I am very happy! Katherine was such a sweet and awesome partner and I was blessed to work with her! I am just really happy that all the work is over and I can relax!
